The Manitoba Cycling Association (MCA) is the not for profit, volunteer based Provincial Sports Organization responsible for the promotion and development of cycling in Manitoba since 1980.
Under the umbrella of Sport Manitoba and working with a rapidly growing membership base our purpose is to advance athletes along the performance pathway and develope partnerships to promote the growth of cycling in Manitoba. Working in collaboration with our clubs and members we strive to:
Want to find a group to ride with? There are dozens of clubs in the city offering a wide variety of rides and adventures.
Get involved with our Kids of Mud, or other Athlete Development Programs. There are programs designed for all ages and abilities, whether you are just starting to ride, or want to get together with other locals and ride.
The MCA is served by volunteers that provide oversight, leadership, and expertise in many areas.
Commissaires are the sports officials for bicycle races in each cycling discipline. Their responsibilities are to ensure a safe and fair play competition, in accordance with UCI/MCA Rules and Regulations.
Like riders, coaches undergo a training process designed to assist them in developing the necessary skills and ethical behaviors to work with cyclists in their discipline and level of interest.
