Women to Watch Grant (3X/year)

The Bison Transport Women to Watch is a grant program administered and funded by Sport Manitoba designed to assist young girls and women to further their development in their chosen sport and progress to the next level.
Grants of $500 will be awarded to an athlete, official or coach who identifies as female and meets the criteria listed below. Please note that application submission does not guarantee that you will receive the grant. All applicants will be notified either way.
- All coaches are required to have a current, completed Respect in Sport number (RIS). If you would like to complete the course or recertify, please click here.
- Grants may be used to offset costs related to future development in their sport. Such as: training, travel, certification, coach/official education, sport equipment (for individuals only; not club, organization or program related), competitions/tournaments expenses, sport development camps, leadership development, professional development and childcare costs.
- Grant applications are open to anyone identifying as female ages 12-23. There is no age limit for para athletes or coaches/officials. Applicants in all levels in the continuum of sport are eligible, however funding is prioritized for those in the top level of their sport in their age category and showing intent and aspirations and ability to further develop and progress to higher levels within sport.
- Ineligible expenses: ie; Equipment for programs, organizations or teams, non sport related expenses such as vacations, university tuition.
