Course Description:
Basic Cycling Skills provides an opportunity for “on-bike” practice in skill teaching and analysis, coaching, and provided lesson plans. The program is simple, based on several pre-designed lesson plans, and adaptable to participants’ varying skill and ability levels. The program’s focus is on having participants develop skills that are basic to MTB, BMX, and Road, in a controlled, off-road, off-trail setting such as a sports field or parking lot.
Course Details:
Total Time Commitment: 8 Hours (in person, on-bike training).
Cost: $60.00 – $80.00
Basic Cycling Skills Pre-Requisites:
Prior to registration, Coaches must complete the Tier 1: Program Volunteer training requirements and the Cycling Foundations eLearning module.
Required/Optional:
Required as a Tier 2: Ride Leader.
Course Description:
Cycling Practice Planning provides an opportunity for a virtual workshop on structuring safe and effective cycling- practices, identifying risk factors that may be encountered when delivering lesson plans, and developing emergency action plans. This workshop focuses on having participants design a practice that applies to MTB, BMX, Road, Recreational Riding, or Youth Programming. Lastly, this workshop reflects on the Long-Term Athlete Development stages and the considerations of utilizing this model when designing a practice. The Cycling Practice Planning course is an excellent workshop for coaches intending to work within community & recreational settings.
Course Details:
Total Time Commitment: 4 Hours (Two 2-hour sessions, delivered synchronously).
Cost: The average cost of Cycling Practice Planning falls between $60 The cost of a Cycling Practice Planning session can vary, but the average cost across Canada is typically between $60 and $70.
Cycling Practice Planning Pre-Requisites:
Prior to registration, Coaches must complete the Tier 1: Program Volunteer training requirements.

Required as a Tier 3: Community Trained Coach but open to anyone interested in improving their cycling practice planning skills.
Course Description:
Description: The NCCP Make Ethical Decisions module provides coaches with training and evaluation in ethical decision-making. By completing this module, coaches gain the skills to confidently navigate legal, ethical, and moral challenges in both team and individual sports.

Cost: $45.00 – $65.00
NCCP Make Ethical Decisions Pre-Requisites:
Prior to registration, Coaches must complete the Tier 1: Program Volunteer training requirements.
