Beginner classes are designed for those who are new to cycling or want to strengthen their foundational skills. The focus is on building confidence and mastering essential techniques through structured learning. Here are the key elements:
Foundational Skills: Participants learn essential techniques such as braking effectively, using gears and pedaling efficiently, understanding the neutral position (balance), and adopting the ready position (body posture for readiness and control).
Games-Based Learning Approach: Teaching methods include interactive games that make learning engaging and enjoyable. This approach helps beginners grasp concepts through practical application and repetition in a fun environment.
Skill Development: The emphasis is on developing fundamental skills that form the basis for safe and enjoyable cycling experiences. Instructors provide individual attention to ensure each participant progresses at their own pace.
Intermediate sessions are geared towards cyclists who have mastered the basics and are ready to advance their skills on the bike. These sessions focus on refining techniques and introducing more complex maneuvers. Here’s what participants can expect:
Advanced Movements: Participants learn more advanced techniques such as slow-speed turns, tight maneuvering, tilts and dismounts, and handling uneven terrain and obstacles.
Games-Based Learning Approach: Similar to beginner classes, learning through interactive games continues to play a significant role. These games are designed to simulate real-world cycling scenarios and challenges, improving skill application and decision-making.
Trail Rides: Intermediate sessions often include trail rides where participants apply their skills in real outdoor settings. This practical experience enhances confidence and reinforces learning in varied terrains and conditions.
Progressive Learning: The focus shifts towards refining technique and building upon foundational skills. Instructors provide guidance on more nuanced aspects of cycling, encouraging participants to push their limits while maintaining control and safety.
