ADAM SMITH: National Junior Men’s Cycling Team!

Our featured athlete of the month is Provincial Team member – Adam Smith.  Adam is currently a grade 12 student at St. Paul’s High School who began competing in endurance sports at the young age of 6. He started by racing Kids of Steel triathlons and transitioned into cycling by joining Kids of Mud and then Cycling Manitoba’s Development Program when he was 12. Through the Provincial team he has trained and raced all three cycling disciplines, but discovered his true passion was for road racing. Adam has successfully competed locally, nationally, and internationally and was very proud to represent Manitoba at the 2022 Canada Summer Games. In 2023 he had his most successful season to date which included winning the Pro/1/2 Road Races at the La Crosse Omnium in Wisconsin and the Rundle Mountain Bike Festival in Canmore, AB. For the 2024 season Adam is proud to be a member of PNW Racing – a Western Canadian Junior Trade Team and was also selected to join Cycling Canada’s Junior Men’s Road Team on their European spring campaign. Adam is looking forward to competing and testing himself against the World’s best in races across North America and Europe with PNW and Cycling Canada.
