Curious About Racing in a Cyclocross Event?
This beginner-friendly clinic is ideal for those who are curious about racing and want to participate in a group ride with activities and drills that will build confidence and excitement for race day. All you need is a helmet, a bike with working gears and brakes, and a willingness to learn.
What to Expect:
- Discuss race day basics like where to check in, what to do with race numbers, race pre-riding and seeding at the start line.
- Learn essential cyclocross skills like getting over barriers, cornering, and carrying your bike while running.
- Practice body position to take corners efficiently and stay on your bike during challenging hill sections.
- Gain tips on choosing lines and riding closely in a group.
- Ride the Southwood Circle Cross race course with opportunities to practice new skills in a supportive environment.
- Wrap up with a debrief and Q&A to answer any lingering questions.
