Manitoba has consistently produced high-level speed skaters, including Olympians Susan Auch, Cindy Klassen, Mike Ireland and Clara Hughes.  Many speed skaters have also excelled as cyclists!

Speed skating, Cross country Ski, Cycling, and Triathlon have partnered to offer twenty-one (21) athletes the opportunity to cross train together over the next few months.

Manitoba Cycling members: Mason Gillis, Caleb Gillis, Tylie Fraser, Pinja Hyytiainen, and Aimee Gauthier all between the ages of 8 – 12, will be part of our Multi-sport pilot program which will introduce athletes to four sports over three months (Feb-May). Tonight many of these athletes will be donning speed skates at the Susan Auch Oval for the very first time. Stay tuned as we track their progress!
