*PLEASE READ THIS MESSAGE IN ITS ENTIRETY *

Friday, April 24, 2020

In a follow-up to our April 17 member communication, the Manitoba Cycling Association has postponed all May events, and will continue to assess the situation to determine the best course of action to ensure the safety of our members.

Return to cycling strategy

Over the next several weeks, we will be working with our provincial cycling partners, along with the guidance provided by our health authorities and Cycling Canada, to develop a gradual and safe “return to cycling strategy”, which we will share with all of you as soon as we are able. There are no timelines that have been determined at this time and there are still many factors that have to be considered. Until then, we ask that everyone continue to practise physical distancing and avoid group activities.

While there are signs of improvement, it is prudent that we continue to follow the recommendations put forward by our public health authorities in an effort to minimize the spread of the virus.

We would like to thank our clubs who have created “virtual ride and race” opportunities for their members, and all of our members who have participated in our online events from home.

Thank you for your patience and ongoing support as we continue to work through the latest developments.
