“I suppose it’s a testament to a simple or easily amused mind, but I’ve been keeping track of my mileage ever since I started cycling in 1965. I saw a graph in a British cycling magazine in my first week of cycling and thought it seemed like a good idea. As of today, I’m at 999,111 Kms. I plan to reach a million at some point during the Arrowhead 135. Not sure if I’ll stop to party but I’m probably too competitive for that.”
