FREE KIDS RIDE AT BISON BUTTE
COME WATCH. COME CHEER. COME RIDE!
A fun, FREE introduction to mountain bike racing for kids ages 5-15.
Whether your child rides every day or is just getting started, everyone is welcome— no racing experience needed!
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

The trails are located in southwest Winnipeg and can be accessed from Wilkes Avenue or McGillivray Road. Please drive slowly on the access road out of respect for nearby residents, walkers, and cyclists.
COME EARLY AND WATCH THE RACE
The Kids Race will begin after the Battle of the Butte Marathon XC race has finished.
Come out to watch the racing, cheer on the riders, and see what mountain biking is all about before the kids get their chance to ride.

WHAT WILL THE KIDS DO?
Kids will ride around the lake at Bison Butte, with the number of laps adjusted based on age and ability.
They will also have the opportunity to:
- Meet Manitoba Cycling Provincial Program athletes and coaches
- Enjoy free giveaways
- Grab some treats
- Experience a fun and welcoming introduction to mountain bike racing
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
Sign-up is FREE – we ask families to sign up in advance to help us plan for the event.
Can’t sign up ahead of time? No problem. Walk-ups will be accepted on race day.
