Want to make your youth cycling sessions more fun and engaging?
HopOn is a games-based cycling program that helps coaches bring energy, creativity, and skill development into training sessions.
What is HopOn?
HopOn teaches coaches how to use interactive cycling games to:
- Improve bike handling skills
- Build rider confidence
- Increase participation and retention
- Create a positive, inclusive environment
Who is it for?
- MCA Community Coaches (including Kids of Mud Club coaches)
- Community program leaders

Registration Steps
Step 1 – Complete the Free HopOn eLearning
Must be completed before the Orientation.

Step 2 – Register for the HopOn Orientation
In-person on-bike training with Jo Burden
Date: Saturday, May 23, 2026
Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Location: The Forks — Meet at the central canopy between The Forks Market and Johnson Terminal
Cost: $60
Instructor: Jo Burden
Orientation Includes:
- Teaching cycling skills through games
- Keeping participants engaged
- Adapting activities for different ages and abilities
- Hands-on coaching practice
Activities include:
- On-bike practice and demonstrations
- Group games and activities
- Coaching scenarios and role-play
