We are looking for a hands-on, reliable Site Supervisor to help lead summer trail maintenance at Bison Butte’s multi-use trails.
- Honorarium: $5000
- Timeline: May – September
- Time Commitment: Approximately 8-15 hours per week (Flexible schedule)
About the role:
You will oversee a small team of approximately six (6) summer staff (ages 15-29) and play a key role in keeping the trails safe, well-maintained, and enjoyable for the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and work alongside staff on-site.
- Assign daily/weekly priorities and provide guidance and support.
- Demonstrate proper use and care of maintenance tools (lawn mowers, trimmers, trail tools, etc.)
- Ensure safe work practises are always followed.
- Coordinate staff scheduling.
- Submit payroll paperwork accurately and on time.
Support Provided:
You will be supported by Manitoba Cycling and the Bison Butte Trails Committee, who will help identify priorities and provide overall direction for the site.
Ideal Candidate:
- Comfortable leading and mentoring youth staff
- Organized and dependable
- Enjoys working outdoors.
- Basic knowledge of tools and maintenance equipment is an asset.
