Update – 2020 MB Summer Games

Important update on the 2020 Manitoba Summer Games in Dauphin

As Sport Manitoba, Dauphin 2020 Host Society and the City of Dauphin prepare for the 2020 Manitoba Summer Games, the safety and well-being of all participants, volunteers, event staff and spectators is of utmost priority. Sport Manitoba and the Host Society are closely monitoring the developments of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). We are committed to keeping all stakeholders informed as we anticipate the pandemic may have impacts on our ability to plan and host the Games. At this time, there is no recommendation to cancel or reschedule the 2020 Manitoba Summer Games planned in Dauphin from August 9-15. We remain hopeful that the health crisis will subside in time for the Games to proceed.

The Coach Seminar schedule in Dauphin for April 24 & 25 has been cancelled.

The Host Tour 2 scheduled for April 24 & 25 in Dauphin has been cancelled in its current format. Sport Manitoba and the Host Society are working together on an alternate format to conduct the exchange of information between all Games partners. More information will come in the next few weeks.

All MCA sanctioned races (including Summer Games selection races) are being reviewed case by case. Updates will be posted to the website asap. Currently events scheduled for April are being postponed and rescheduled or cancelled. May events are TBA.

The MCA and Sport Manitoba will continue to seek guidance from the appropriate health authorities and governments regarding preparedness. Sport Manitoba is following the recommendations put forth by the Province of Manitoba. Please check for updates to this website regularly.

Sport Manitoba will continue to update sport partners as new information and precautions become available.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation in this challenging time.
