Sport LeadHERship Series: next session Jan 9th

The next session of the Bison Transport Sport LeadHERship Series is Sunday, January 9, 2022 at 6 p.m. CST.

Break down stereotypes and critically discuss the impacts and effects of systemic discrimination and social exclusion with our guest panel:

  • Betty Kassa coaches a newcomer girls soccer team with the Winnipeg Newcomer Sport Academy and Immigrant Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba. She’s also a part of the WNSA’s Women in Sport Leadership initiative supported by Canadian Women in Sport.
  • Lily Rich is a member of Para Storm Swim club and is passionate about creating inclusive spaces for youth with disabilities. Last year, they began working with Accessible Sport Connections Manitoba, and hosted its inaugural youth event, “Disabled Youth Talking.”
  • Anastasia Bucsis is a two-time Olympic speed skater. She is a host and analyst at CBC, hosting on multiple platforms including the Player’s Own Voice podcast. Anastasia is a passionate advocate for mental health issues, eradicating homophobia in sport, and telling the stories of Canada’s high-performance athletes.
