The Manitoba Cycling Association on behalf of the Power Smart Manitoba Summer Games is calling all youth born in 2002-2005, to participate in the qualifying MTB races for the Games which take place from August 7-13, 2016 in Steinbach.  It is an experience of a lifetime!

The Games are a competitive,developmental opportunity to advance Provincial Sport Organizations’ long term athlete and coach development. The age or stage selected generally complies with the Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Train to Train stage of development. Learn more about LTAD at www.canadiansportforlife.ca.

The Power Smart Manitoba Games are often an athlete’s first multi-sport Games experience. The Games help to identify Manitoba athletes who have the potential to advance to higher levels of competition: Provincial Team, National Competition, and the Canada and Western Canada Games. After competing in the Power Smart Manitoba Games, many athletes move on to become part of Team Manitoba.  The Cycling (MTB) event takes place during phase 2 of the games, August 10-13, 2016 at Sandilands and Blind Creek.  For more information on the event, click here.
