Volunteer Position: Director of Marketing & Communications

Manitoba Cycling Association – Board of Directors (2025–2026 Term)

The Manitoba Cycling Association (MCA) is looking for a passionate volunteer to join our Board of Directors as Director of Marketing & Communications. This role is a great fit for anyone excited about cycling in Manitoba and interested in helping share the story of our programs, events, and community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help develop marketing and communication strategies that support MCA’s goals.
  • Work with the Executive Director to track success and adjust strategies to attract members and supporters.
  • Highlight the benefits of the MCA Athlete Pathway, including youth cycling programs and the MCA Provincial Program, to potential athletes and families.
  • Support membership campaigns and programs to engage and retain members, volunteers, coaches, athletes & officials.
  • Collaborate with staff, board members, and designers to create clear and engaging content.
  • Make sure MCA’s communications reflect our brand and values across social media and other platforms.
  • Offer tips and guidance to clubs, programs, and staff on social media and event promotion.
  • Help promote MCA-sanctioned events through our website and social channels.
  • Attend regular Board meetings to contribute ideas and decisions about initiatives and policies.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Someone interested in cycling and supporting the MCA community.
  • Comfortable with basic communication or social media tasks (experience is helpful but not required).
  • Willing to collaborate and share ideas with other volunteers and staff.
  • Committed to attending occasional Board meetings (virtual or in-person).
