The MCA is looking to hire a seasonal/part-time grounds maintenance leader for Bison Butte between May-September.
We are looking for a mature, responsible, organized, approachable team player with strong communication skills. Experience with trail maintenance tools and techniques is an asset.
Candidate must be 18+, have a drivers license, and will be required to complete a criminal record check, and child abuse registry. You will be part of the Urban Green Team maintenance crew responsible for trail maintenance at Bison Butte, as well as some additional administration activities to coordinate this effort.
You will report directly to the MCA Executive Director and will be part of the volunteer Bison Butte committee to who will provide direction, support, at priorities at the site. The grounds maintenance coordinator’s role will be to work with the maintenance crew and provide structure and support where needed.
The role will involve:
- Working approx 20 hours per week (onsite maintenance at Bison butte plus some administration work)
- Coordination of maintenance staff’s schedule (Jun-Sep). Approx 10 staff.
- Communication liason between the staff and the Bison Butte Committee.
- Ongoing communications with Executive Director
- Collection of employee timesheets (twice a month). Submission to the MCA office.
- Collection of paperwork, onsite supplies as needed
