Times:

  • Registration: 9:30 – 11:00 (10:00 for the U9, U11, U13)
  • Event #1: U9, U11, U13 – 11:00 p.m.
  • Event #2: Elite and Expert, male and female – 12 p.m.
  • Event #3: Comp, male and female – 12:05 p.m.
  • Event #4: Sport, U15, U17, Citizen, male and female – 12:10 p.m.
  • Registration: Registration opens at 8:30am and ends 10:30am each day, preregistered racers must sign in before 11:00am each day.  Registration and waiver forms are available online and at the race site. Please download the form and waiver, fill out and bring the completed form and waiver to the race.

    Cost: $25 for pre-registration each race, before June 11th, $35 each race the day of the event. Non licensed riders are allowed at this event, but will not receive points. Cash, cheque or credit card. Make cheques out to the Bikes and Beyond. Discounts for multiple races are available at Bikes and Beyond or on site, but not online. If faxing in your registration forms please include the security code for your credit card so we can process you payment, thank you.

    Race Time by Event:

    • Super-D Practice: June 12th 9:00am – 10:30am
    • Kids of Mud June 12th 11:00 am – 1:30pm
    • 4Cross June 12th 2:00pm – 4:00pm
    • Super-D qualifying June 12th 4:00pm – 6:00pm
    • Open Hill June 12th 7:00pm – Sunset
    • MB Cup XC Race June 13th 11:30am – 4:00pm
    • Super-D June 13th 4:30pm – 5:45pm

    Race Courses: All of the courses cross each other so while another event is running all other courses are closed. If caught riding a closed course, the rider will be disqualified and forfeit their entry fee. This is for safety reasons, please respect this rule, we want everyone to have fun and be safe.

    Manitoba Cup Cross Country:

    The course approximately 6.75km in length. The surface will be a combination of hard packed trails, wet trails and shield rock faces and gravel. There are large and small rock to go around and over, including roots. The course is a combination of single track, double track, and service road and is up and down in nature with few flat sections. This course will be clearly marked as of June 6th but not fully flagged, this is a technical course. Course map available here

    Kids of Mud:

    The course is approximately 2km long for the older children and 1.3km for the younger children. Course consists mainly of double track with some single track and service road. Surfaces will be a combination of packed dirt wet dirt gravel and some rocks to be negotiated. Course map available here

    Super-D:

    The course is point to point style and is approximately 0.8km long. The course is mainly descending with a short mild climb about half way through. The trail consists of rock faces, single track, double track, wet dirt, hard pack, and small jumps that can be rolled or avoided. There are some steep sections and rough sections. This course is best suited to a 5”+ travel all-mountain bike, but can be ridden on a fully rigid bike by a skilled rider. Racers must walk the course before riding, and the course is closed while other events are taking place. If caught riding the course out side of designated times, racer will be disqualified and forfeit entry fee. This course will be clearly marked as of June 6th but not fully flagged.  Course map available here

    4Cross:

    The course is on a trimmed grass slope and zigzags down the hill. It is approximately .25km long. The top section has a smooth straight start leading into a series of tight left right turns, with a small natural drop (18”) in the second straight. In the second half there is a small roller that must be taken by all riders a natural berm corner and some fast flat corners leading to the finish. This course will be clearly marked as of June 6th but not fully flagged. Course map available here

    Race Regulations:

    • All racers bikes must operate a bicycle with both front and rear working brakes.
    • All racers must wear a CSA approved helmet while riding on OR off-course (even the parking lot).
    • Riders shall act and race with caution and respect for their fellow racers. They shall be held responsible for any accidents that they cause.
    • Racers must have their license with them at all times during a race event.
    • It is a racer’s responsibility to familiarizing yourself with the race course before the race (marshals will not be obligated to give out directions to confused riders).
    • A racer must act in a sporting manner at all times and shall permit any faster rider to overtake without obstructing.
    • If a rider exits the course for any reason, he/she must return to the course at the same point from which they exited.
    • Music players and electronic devises are NOT allowed by any racers during any events.
    • Sleeveless jerseys are NOT allowed.
    • You can only wear a jersey of a club or team you currently belong to, no pro team jerseys that you are not a member of; if you do not belong to a club wear any jersey that is not a pro jersey nor a club jersey where you are not a member of that club.
    • The current, defending Manitoba Cup winners should wear their Manitoba Cup jersey at cup races. Previous years jerseys should not be worn by previous winners.    Handlebars must have end caps.
    • Glass containers are not allowed on the course, including the feed zone.
    • Fullface helmets are required for the 4X event.

    Parking:

    Parking is available at the site.

    Courtesy and Safety:

    The course is open and the public can access the course at any point. Signs will indicate that bike race is in progress , but be aware that marshals do not have authority to prevent people from entering the course. Keep your head up at all times. Be courteous to others.

    Washrooms:

    Washrooms will be open and are inside the chalet.

    Organizers and Volunteers:

    Organizers and volunteers will be be wearing ID badges, please respect them and do as they ask, they are there to help make this an enjoyable and safe event for everyone. If you have any questions or complaints please ask to speak to and organizer or organizer’s assitant and they will do their best to help you.
