Race Ambassadors: Making Every Race Welcoming and Fun

Did you spot the friendly faces at MCA events this season? Those are our new Race Ambassadors—volunteers helping make every race safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for everyone, whether it’s your very first race or you’ve been at it for years.

This initiative was developed in response to feedback from the 2024 participant survey, where we heard the importance of creating a more welcoming and supportive race experience. The Race Ambassador program is one way we’re putting that feedback into action—strengthening community connections and helping riders feel more confident at every event.

What Do Race Ambassadors Do?

Think of them as your on-site guides and biggest cheerleaders. They:
• Share safety tips, race rules, and course info to keep everyone confident on race day.
• Support riders of all levels, making sure everyone feels included and comfortable.
• Encourage beginners, celebrate wins big and small, and foster a positive vibe on and off the course.
• Connect with volunteers and racers, helping build a strong, welcoming cycling community.

Want to Join the Fun?

If you love cycling, enjoy meeting people, and want to help others have a great experience, this is your chance! Race Ambassadors are the friendly faces that make our events feel safe, supportive, and fun for everyone.

Who Are We Looking For?

The best ambassadors are:
• MCA Members
• Racers with experience and knowledge of safety, rules, and regulations in their disciplines
• Authentic and approachable, making everyone feel welcome
• Social and engaging, ready to connect with riders of all levels
• Passionate about growing the sport of cycling and building a supportive community

Why Become a Race Ambassador?

Being a Race Ambassador is a rewarding way to give back, meet other cycling enthusiasts, and make a real difference at events. You’ll help riders feel safe and included, share your love of cycling, and be part of a team that’s all about making races beginner-friendly, fun, and inclusive.

This season served as a soft launch, with a full rollout planned for early 2026. We’re excited to see the impact after a full race season and hear what our community thinks.
