In Preparation for Cyclocross Season:

Commissaire Refresher and Volunteers for Race Administration Workshop September 10, 2011 9am – 1 pm

This workshop is open to both commissaires and interested volunteers who want to help at races.  The bulk of what local officials do is administration, including correct sign-in, tracking of riders, and tabulating results.   I will offer a half day classroom instruction for all

licensed commissaires and volunteers where we will review the basic rules, learn how to track a race (and the importance of accurate tracking), and general expectations.   In our community, a volunteer who understands the race structure and accurate administration is a great asset to the organizer and commissaire.

This is also a great stepping stone to help an interested volunteer determine if they would like to pursue obtaining a Commissaire License.
