Bison Butte at FortWhyte – Important Information!

 

Coming Soon! Bison Butte at FortWhyte Alive! As many of you know we have been constructing a Technical Mountain Bike Course at FortWhyte Alive for the 2017 Canada Summer Games competition. We know many of you are excited about riding the course and we are excited to share it, once it is complete. Please note that Construction is still ongoing at the site. The course is not open for Public Use and we ask that you please respect the “No Access” signs posted. MCA licensed riders will be able to “test” the course on August 27. Once the test event is complete, we will working on any additional course changes required, signage, and fine tuning in preparation for next summer.  We are excited to have a Mountain Bike Course within the city limits and we are grateful for the support of FortWhyte Alive, the Canada Games Council, The City of Winnipeg, and Province of Manitoba for their partnership.

If you would like to register for the Test event/Provincial Championships race you will require a MCA race license which you can purchase here (Click Here)

Volunteer evenings are ongoing and open to everyone.  They are typically held on Monday evenings between 7-9pm. Watch the MCA website for updates.

Thank you for everyone’s support to date. This has been a team effort and several individuals and clubs have spent many volunteer hours helping to shape and develop the course.

When the course is open for public use, the signs will be removed and announcement made on the MCA website.
