Bison Butte Access

Attention all Canada Games Spectators and Volunteers:

An Access path to enter the Butte has been mowed along the North West corner of Bison Butte (on the far North side corner of the Appartment blocks. Please don’t walk in front of the Appartment block. Parking is free at the area close to Cabella’s just off Sterling Lyon Parkway.

Continue down the Path to the Start/Finish area (approx 10mins). Once you get to the start/finish area you can follow all Pathways outlined with Red Tape. There will be Marshalls positioned around the course closer to race time. Marshalls will assist with spectators crossing the race course when it is safe to do so.

If you are cycling in, please come down the Trans Canada Path. You may lock your bikes to one of the posts on the far west side. There are no bike stands or bike storage at the butte. Please do not leave your bikes laying on the side of the hill or course.

There is also parking available for a small fee at FortWhyte Alive where you can enjoy an amazing lunch and some wonderful nature views. A great place to relax between races.

Bring lots of water today…and your cowbells & noice makers!
