Winnipeg will be host to the 2023 World Police & Fire Games in 2023!
July 28 to August 6, 2023 (10 day event)
60 Sports (5 of which will be cycling events: Cyclocross, Mountain Bike, Road, Criterium, Time Trial)
8500 athletes
Open to active and retired law enforcement and fire service personnel around the world
The World police & fire games is looking for a sport technical leader (subject matter expert) for cycling to start ASAP. Duties include:
- supporting the development of the competition framework
- help with planning venue operations
- execution of the games during the summer of 2023
- venue team meetings
- contribute to online planning documentation (i.e: competition schedule and development of games-time venue operations)
- help engage sport specific technical officials
- help recruit and train volunteers
Brainstorming meetings will begin this February. As Sport technical lead your committment will be 1-2 meetings each month starting in February to June 2023 (either in person or virtually).
During the games, the technical lead, will be a core member of the Venue team, and will be on site during all cycling competition days.
