Keeping Girls in Sport

Coach Training - Free to MCA Members

In celebration of International Women’s Day on March 8th, the Manitoba Cycling Association (MCA) is excited to announce that we will be supporting our coaches by reimbursing the cost of the Keeping Girls in Sport eLearning Module. This initiative is made possible thanks to funding from Sport Manitoba, through the Canada-Manitoba Bilateral Sport Support Program and the Manitoba Sport Participation Program (MSPP), which aim to increase active participation in sport for underrepresented groups, including women and girls.

The Keeping Girls in Sport training module offers valuable tools and strategies for coaches to create supportive, inclusive environments that encourage girls to remain engaged in sports. This online course focuses on helping coaches understand the unique challenges girls face in sport and how to implement best practices to support their development.

How to Participate:

Note: You do not need to complete the program in a single session. The program will always remember where you left off. Keeping Girls in Sport does count towards NCCP PD Points.

How to Submit Receipts:

  • Who is eligible: Cycling coaches with a 2025 MCA Membership including coaches from Kids of Mud, HopOn, Devo One, or the MCA Provincial Program.
