SUMMARY:Coaching Clinic: Community Initiation Training
DESCRIPTION:  \nLet’s Ride! Community Cycling- Initiation (CCI) is the NCCP context for coaches who will primarily work with novice\, pre-competitive cyclists at the community level\, including participants in the Active Start\, FUNdamentals and early Learn to Train stages of athlete development. The program is simple\, based on a number of pre-designed lesson plans\, and adaptable to the varying skill and ability levels of participants. The focus of the program is on having participants develop skills which are basic to MTB\, BMX\, and Road\, in a controlled\, off-road\, off-trail setting such as a sport field or parking lot. \nCCI training has two parts – the “Let’s Ride!” CCI workshop\, and a Basic Bicycling Skills workshop. The first workshop provides information on ethical coaching\, participants and their needs\, basic practice planning\, equipment and other important information for coaches of beginner cyclists. DESCRIPTION:  \nPresented by Dark Red Racing\nRace Organizer: Chris Neufeld neufeldc@hotmail.com  \nMennoCross takes place on the Canadian Mennonite University campus during the Fall @ CMU celebration held at the same time. So along with some excellent racing\, you can also check out the farmer’s market for some delicious produce and pick up some lunch (farmer sausage burger\, chips\, and pop for $3). There’s also an excellent cafe on site\, folio\, for all of your coffee\, goodies\, and lunch needs. \nThe course is open for pre-riding prior to 11am and from 1-1:30pm between the kids race and C race. There’ll also be a few minutes between the other races\, but these are dedicated pre-ride times. \nOnline registration for the kids races (10 and under) are free online and $10 on race day. \nRace day registration is $40 for all others. \nSchedule of Events: \n9:30 Registration open. Grande Pointe is the first turn-off on your right after crossing the floodway.  Once you enter Grande Pointe turn right at the stop sign and Fraser’s Auto will be on your left. \nParking:               In the Fraser’s Auto Service parking lot. \nWashrooms:      There is an outhouse facility at the Grande Pointe Park. \nEligibility:           This race is open to all licensed MCA members. \nPre Registration: On site registration only \nRegistration:      Registration will be on-site from 5:30pm until 6:30pm. Download a registration form and waiver and bring it with you. \nCost:                      20$ race entry fee. \nRace start times: \n\n6:55pm – Cat 1/2/3\n7:00pm– Cat 4\n7:05pm– Cat 5/Citizen\n\nRace course:      The course consists of Bernat Rd and Hallama Dr in Grande Point.
