DESCRIPTION:On May 13\, we will be hosting Try Mountain Bike Racing at Grand Beach Provincial Park at 8:00 am. You will ride a lap of the course that will be used for the Grand Prix of Grand Beach mountain bike (MTB) races that begin later the same morning. The session is free for all MCA general members to attend and participants are encouraged to stick around after to watch what a MTB race looks like! All you need to bring is yourself\, a helmet\, a bike\, a water bottle and an open mind to trying something new. Please wear athletic clothing or cycling clothing and close-toed athletic shoes (i.e. running shoes) for riding. It may still be chilly so please wear long sleeve or sweater and athletic pants if it is cold. Thinner gloves can be important as well for a comfortable experience. If you have cycling shoes and pedals you are welcome to bring them. \nRace Day Sign-In takes place at the Grand Beach Ski Trails Parking Lot\, Information/Registration Tent. Sign-in begins at 8:00 am. DESCRIPTION:REGISTRATION CLOSES JUNE 8 AT 10 PM. \nREGISTER HERE\nGrab a friend and your bike\, let’s go get ice cream!  \nThe Manitoba Cycling Association is pleased to host another year of Tour de Glace\, the ice cream bike tour. Registration includes a guided group ride with 2- or 3-stop options to some excellent local ice cream shops for a treat. This event is open to all\, you do not need to be a member of the Manitoba Cycling Association. Families and youth are welcome to join! \nThe ride begins in the green space in front of the Lyric Theatre at Assiniboine Park at 2:00 pm. Please arrive at 1:45 pm to check in and meet your ride leader. The ride will finish up at Assiniboine Park by 4:00 pm. Giveaways will be drawn at the end of the ride. \n2023 Tour de Glace ice cream shops include: \n\nNucci’s Gelati (643 Corydon Ave)\nSargent Sundae (2053 Portage Ave)\nTeeyah’s Candy\, Soda and Ice Cream (#104-240 Graham Ave)\n\nThe 3-stop group will have an average pace of 15-20 km/hour over the course of about 21 km. Ice cream stops include Nucci’s Gelati\, Sargent Sundae and Teeyah’s. Participants may choose any flavour at Nucci’s and Teeyah’s\, and have the option between a Grabber or a Whatchamacallit from Sargent Sundae. The 3-stop ride is $12.00 plus tax + processing fees. \nThe 2-stop group will have an average pace of 10-15 km/hour over the course of about 16 km. The 2-stop group is open to all youth under 18 who are able to maintain the group average pace. Ice cream stops include Nucci’s and Sargent Sundae. Participants may choose any flavour at Nucci’s and will have the option between a Grabber or a Whatchamacallit from Sargent Sundae. If you like tacos\, sunshine\, friends and bikes\, this is probably the event you’ve been waiting for.\nThe Manitoba Cycling Association is pleased to host another year of Taco à Vélo\, the taco shop bike tour. Registration includes a guided group ride with 2- or 3-stop options to some excellent local taco shops for a prepaid treat. This event is open to all\, you do not need to be a member of the Manitoba Cycling Association. Families and youth are welcome to join! \nREGISTER HERE\nThe ride begins in the green space in front of the CN Stage at the Forks in Winnipeg. Please arrive at 2:45 pm to check in and meet your ride leader. All rides will finish up at the Forks Common by about 5:00 pm with the option to purchase drinks on the patio to go along with your tacos. Giveaways will be drawn at the end of the ride. \n2023 Taco à Vélo taco shops include: \n\nFire and Spice Taqueria (66 Donald St)\nLa Taqueria Mexican Street Tacos (1863 Ness Ave)\nHabanero Sombrero (1 Forks Market Rd)\n\nThe 3-stop group will have an average pace of 15-20 km/hour. DESCRIPTION:All MCA general members are welcome to try racing this year with our all-new Try It! events.\n\nOn September 23\, we will be hosting Try Cyclocross Racing at Canadian Mennonite University at 9:30 am. You will ride two laps of the course that will be used for the Menno Cross races that begin later that day. The session is free for MCA general members to attend and participants are encouraged to stick around after to watch what a CX race looks like! All you need to bring is yourself\, a helmet\, a bike\, a water bottle and an open mind to trying something new. Please wear athletic clothing or cycling clothing and close-toed athletic shoes (i.e. running shoes) for riding.
