What is Cyclocross ?

Cyclocross is a form a bike racing which typically take place in the autumn and winter. The race consists of  laps of a short (1.5–2  mile) course featuring pavement, wooded trails, grass, steep hills and obstacles requiring the rider to quickly dismount, carry the bike whilst navigating the obstruction and remount.  Cyclocross was invented nearly 100 years ago in Europe and has been growing in popularity in North America over the past several years.  There are a variety of races for all skill levels from children to Elite racers and it is an exciting sport to spectate with its tight turns, obstacles, mud, and a crowd that gets into the race as much as the racers do.  It is Great fun, you don’t want to miss it.  Cowbells encouraged !
