Get Involved!

Join our cycling community as an athlete, coach, official, learning facilitator, volunteer, or board member!

01

Become a Member of the MCA

Membership in the Association is open to any person, group, or organization interested in subscribing to the goals of the Association.

02

Become an Official

Commissaires are the sports officials for bicycle races in each cycling discipline. They are trained and licensed volunteers, who, when appointed to provincial and regional level races are paid an honorarium for races worked, plus travel expenses.

03

Become a Coach

Coaches are involved in the athlete development process in a broad variety of ways, ranging from the very first introduction a new cyclist has to the sport, to the highest level of international competition, and everything between.

Join a Program

The MCA works with athletes 22 years of age and younger, as part of their integration with the Long Term Athlete Development model. Currently, the Provincial programs focus on Road and MTB racing, which are Olympic disciplines and are part of the Canada Summer Games.

Join a Club

There are many types of cycling clubs in Manitoba: racing, recreational, youth development, and sometimes a combination of all three. Clubs select and mentor volunteers, organize races, club rides and other activities. They select club representatives for MCA programs and race committees.
