Safe Sport Webinar for Cycling Clubs Presented by CAC on May 6th ***MUST REGISTER BY MAY 4th***

The Director, Sport Safety from the Coaching Association of Canada will be hosting a Sport Safety webinar specifically designed for local Cycling clubs on Wednesday, May 6th at 7 PM EST. The webinar will focus on building awareness and presenting best principles for risk management through the Responsible Coaching Movement (RCM), Rule of Two, policies and practices. The webinar will take place via Adobe Connect and is free to register for interested individuals. Our target audience for this webinar are youth coaches, club coaches and club administrators.

We’ve created the attached brief promotional documents (en français) to encompass all of the information surrounding the webinar, including the link to register for the webinar directly. Grateful if you could distribute these documents to your local clubs at your earliest convenience. Please note we will be limiting the webinar to 95 registrants due to the restrictions surrounding the maximum number of users permitted in an Adobe Connect meeting at a time. Due to this limitation, registration will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis. The deadline to register for the webinar will be Monday, May 4th at 11:59 PM EST.

Additionally, Cycling Canada, in collaboration with our Third Party Safe Sport Officer, will be hosting a Sport Safety webinar for IPC members (ED’s or Presidents) on Wednesday, May 13th at 1 PM EST. The webinar will focus on policy changes and Cycling Canada internal processes to manage complaints and issues pertaining to Safe Sport. We will be sending out a full description of the webinar and a calendar invite next week. Please continue to monitor your emails for this communication.
