Matthew Blenkinsopp, a current MCA Provincial team athlete from Steinbach has been recently selected to join team Novo-Nordisk.

Two years ago, Matthew was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes.  When he heard about Team Novo-Nordisk, an all-diabetes sports team of cyclists spearheaded by the world’s first all-diabetes professional cycling team, he took a chance and sent in his race resume.

Matthew was invited to the Novo-Nordisk talent ID camp in Atlanta Georgia this past July and in October he was invited to join their junior team.

In January 2016 he will travel to Spain for two weeks to meet and train with the team!

The year ahead will include training and competitions in the US & Europe.  Matthew looks forward to training hard and meeting people from all over the world!
