Happy New Year

Perhaps it’s winter riding that adds to the reflective nature of a new year. Silently rolling along, with nothing to see but white streets and boulevards (finally), and the eerie absence of cars during holiday mornings, makes the mind wander. The big questions come to light: health, happiness and the re-evolution of cycling. I often think during these times about the people who have given so much to Manitoba cycling in the past, where cycling is now in terms of healthy living and racing, and what Manitoba cycling can become in the future. Already, we’re more than a decade into the 21st Century. And thanks to so many dedicated and wonderful people in the cycling community, we’re speedily rolling forward. May good riding be yours in the coming year and always.

Best wishes for a happy new year! Jason Carter
