Bison Butte – Volunteer Monday (Apr 24 Postponed)

Due to the weather forecast we are postponing our volunteer work night at Bison Butte.  We will make an announcement on new date(s) asap.

Please note that ongoing scheduled maintenance activity at Bison Butte has commenced in preparation for the Canada Summer Games (July 28-Aug 13).

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

DATE: Monday, April 24^th (weather permitting).

TIME: Anytime between 6pm to 9pm  

WHAT TO BRING:

• Work Gloves/Hat
• Water
• Bug spray/Sunscreen
• Equipment if you have: shovels, rakes, tampers, wheel barrows, brush cutters

PARKING:

We recommend that you park in the public parking area close to Tim Horton’s and walk to the top of the hill (East side).  If you need to drop tools off that can’t be carried you can drop these at the base of hill.

VOLUNTEER SIGN-IN:

We ask that all volunteers sign-in at the northeast access.  Please report to Alex Man upon arrival for work assignments.

• Spring cleaning of litter (Garbage bags will be provided)
• Raking of ruts (Please bring rakes, shovels, tampers, wheel barrows)
• Mowing weed thatch and raking (extra brush cutters welcome!)
• Bridge replacement
