City Cycling for Commuters

Bike Winnipeg will once again be offering half day cycling skills courses through the City of Winnipeg’s Leisure Guide this spring. Each cycling skills course combines classroom presentations with practical on-road advice and mentoring to build critical cycling skills and confidence that will help make your daily commute safer and more enjoyable. All courses are taught by certified CAN-Bike instructors with a maximum 6:1 student/teacher ratio.

Would you like to start commuting but are uncomfortable on busier streets? Are you already commuting, but want to learn the cycling skills that will allow you to ride safely in heavier traffic? Certified Can-Bike instructors from Bike Winnipeg will help you build the skills and knowledge to ride confidently in traffic. The course is endorsed by the Manitoba Cycling Association and each participant will receive a copy of the Winnipeg Cycling Map.

City Cycling for Commuters is aimed at cyclists comfortable riding on roads who would like to hone their cycling skills to be safer and more comfortable on busier street with heavier traffic. The course will be run on Saturday May 10th at the St. James Civic Centre Auditorium.

Courses cost $46 for Winnipeg residents, $55 for non residents. Registration begins March 19th for Winnipeg residents, March 25th for non residents. Space is limited; register early to ensure you get a spot.
