Assistant Coach – Lindsay Argue

I am very pleased to inform the membership that the MCA has hired Ms. Lindsay Argue to be the Assistant Coach for the Provincial Program for 2012. The Provincial Program has grown significantly in the last year with athletes ranging from KOM graduates to Olympic team candidates. Lindsay will help ensure that high calibre coaching services are provided to everyone in the progam.

Lindsay will be working with the Provincial Program as part of her coaching development through the Canada Games Women’s Apprenticeship program. She will be working full time this summer (and hopefully next!) to help with the administration of the Provincial Program, provide coaching support to all the athletes, and to help bring more athletes into the program. Many PP athletes and parents already met Lindsay at the Spring Training camp earlier this spring.

Lindsay comes to us with lots of experience from racing on the Manitoba Provincial team at National Championships, Canada Games, Western Canada Games, and many high level races in Canada and the United States. You will see Lindsay at the Training Criteriums and regularly at PP training sessions and races throughout the summer. Please join me in welcoming Lindsay to our Manitoba team!
