The Power Smart Manitoba Games are the province’s largest ongoing multi-sport program bringing together participants from across the province. The Games are held every two years and alternate between summer and winter sports events. Each set of Games involve upwards of 7,500 athletes, coaches, officials and volunteers. In total, the Games features the talents of approximately 1800 athletes and will take over 1000 dedicated volunteers to run the Games.
The cycling event takes place in the second phase of the games (August 10th to 13th). There are two events, a Cross Country Mountain Bike Race and Short Track Mountain Bike Race. The event takes place at Sandilands Provincial Forest. The hosting city is Steinbach. In total, the cycling event will showcase 64 athletes representing 5 regions.
